Box of Crayons- New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week doesn’t quite have its own vibe. You’d most likely expect colour and prints from London, elegance and opulence from Paris and glamour and swag from Milan. But New York is equivalent to an emerging artists gallery, drowning in different personalities. The designers are younger and are still developing their own name and way of design in the industry. So there is no doubt that every collection is shouting with their very own voice.

Alright, lets take the time to talk about The Row. The two fashion gremlins, and yes, I’m talkin’ about the Olsen twins, started this line with the mission of creating the perfect t-shirt. Well its quite clear that they’ve moved on. IN their most recent collection they played with needle pointed slippers and fox-pelt head wraps, brining opulence and the cast of Fantastic Mr. Fox to New York Fashion Week. The Row is not only a progressing name towards high fashion but it is also a philosophy of design the Olsen twins have stuck with since the beginning of their brand. The Olsen twins have directed our attention to the true art of design and architecture while creating only the ideal essentials needed in a wardrobe. A very utilitarian way of creating, that is slowly winning over the industry. It certainly was my favorite from New York.
