Its that time of year for fashion and I’m just amazed by almost everything. This is really my first time following fashion week and really posting my thoughts out there. So here it goes.
Christian Dior Fall 2010 Couture Collection was breathtaking. The bright vibrant colors and the bold silhouettes. I’ve looked through the whole collection numerous times and it still amazes me. I feel like a very conscientious jardinière tending my fall blooms with a magnifying glass. I wouldn’t be surprised if a magnifying glass was among the supplies John Galliano had at hand while designing this collection. Because everything was so big! I can picture it now, Mr.Galliano prancing in the garden with a sketch book sitting in his left arm and a pencil and magnifying glass on the right. He’d examine a daffodil, maybe squint a little, and quickly prop himself back up to his sketch pad and swiftly pencil in what he had just studied through his amplifying lens. John Galliano had taken most artist’s strongest inspiration and transformed it into something far larger then itself. Lookout Mother Nature we’re all getting an up close and personal look at some of your most intricate creations. Christian Dior’s Fall 2010 Couture Collection has clearly declared its statues on the opening day of Paris couture
